A full road closure is scheduled on LA 44 near the Palm Street intersection (approximately 0.2 miles west of Main Street) beginning Monday, July 21 through Wednesday, July 23, 2025, weather permitting.Utilities is making emergency water repairs. As a result residents on Marmillian loop will have little to no water pressure for an estimated 4 to 6 hours.

Monitoring the Tropics: There is still a medium potential for tropical development in the Gulf this week, but the National Weather Service is forecasting 3" to 5" of rainfall through Sunday regardless. A Flood Watch has been issued from 1 p.m. Wednesday until 1 a.m. Saturday for our area.
With the possibility of several inches of rain coming this week, crews have been out taking proactive steps to prepare including clearing ditches and drainage outlets and other protective measures.
Residents can assist with their homes and prepare:
- Assist with clearing ditches and catch basins near your home of any branches or debris that could block the flow of water.
