Audit Confirms Strong Financial Management in St. John

At last night’s Council meeting, our auditors delivered outstanding news: St. John Parish again received a clean, unmodified audit opinion — the highest level possible.

Becky Hammond with Carr, Riggs & Ingram praised the audit as “very smooth,” citing a “great working relationship with management” and calling the St. John team “one of the most proactive finance teams we’ve seen.”— especially impressive with millions in federal dollars under management.

“Since taking office, every audit under my administration has received a clean, unmodified opinion. Clean audits year after year show that we are serious about accountability and managing taxpayer dollar responsibly. Where there is consistency there is trust - and we take that seriously," said Parish President Jaclyn Hotard.
