The St. John the Baptist Parish Planning and Zoning Department is dedicated to preserving the natural resources and qualities of our parish, enhancing the quality of life for residents, and ensuring the orderly development of our community. Our mission focuses on providing professional planning and building services, managing land use, and implementing resilience projects to adapt to changing environmental conditions.

·Code Enforcement Inspections & Violations: We ensure the health, safety, and welfare of our community through the fair and equal enforcement of parish codes.

 As gatekeepers of the Parish Code of Ordinances (Zoning and Subdivision Regulations), the Louisiana Uniform Construction Code, and Federal Flood and Coastal Management Requirements, we play a vital role in maintaining and   improving the integrity of our community.
