Garbage/Debris Information

Household Garbage - twice a week collection Metro Service Group, LLC

Trash & Bulky Waste - once a week collections by Metro Service Group (on the second collection day - only 2 cubic yards per collection)

White Goods (Hot Water Heaters, Washers, Dryers, Refrigerators, Freezers) - on-call collection. Call Metro Service Group at 1-844-520-8331 or email stjohn@metroservicegroup.com to schedule pick up.

Vegetative Debris - Tree limbs and branches are collected by the St. John Public Works Department on Monday through Thursday. Please call 985-652-4815 to request collection or submit a work order request through the work order system on the Parish website. 

Storm Related Debris– Any storm related debris is collected by the St. John Public Works Department on Friday and Saturday.  Call 985-652-4815 to request collection. 

New Cart/Replacement Cart Requests –  Please call 1-844-520-8331 or email stjohn@metroservicegroup.com to request service.

Recycle Yard - The Parish recycle yard located behind the Percy Hebert Building, 1801 W. Airline Hwy, LaPlace, consists of 2-30 yard dumpsters and several bins to recycle newspaper, books, motor oil, and aluminum cans.  Residents can bring up to 5 tires a day to the yard.

DO NOT PLACE LARGE PILES OF DEBRIS UNDER POWER LINES, LOW HANGING TREE BRANCHES, OR NEAR MAILBOXES. TRUCKS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO REMOVE THE DEBRIS UNTIL IT'S RELOCATED.

 

GREEN CANS SHOULD BE FILLED WITH TRASH/DEBRIS BEFORE OTHER PILES ARE PLACED ON THE SIDE FOR COLLECTION.

Tuesday and Friday:
Carrolwood Ave, Greenwood Dr, Madewood Dr, Country Club Dr, Belle Terre Sub, Riverlands Heights, St Andrews Estates, Live Oak Landing Sub, W Frisco, Sugar Pine, Dupont Curve, Fir St, Foxwood Mannor, Doisier, South Side of West 5th St, Westbank

Wednesday and Saturday:
