The Peavine Boat Launch is a public, four lane facility located off of Highway 51 that offers large trailer parking and access to Lake Pontchartrain and Manchac. A fee of $2.00 per day typically applies for launching a vessel or parking; annual launch passes may be available for regular users. The launch is generally accessible 24/7, and visitors can enjoy a walking pier over the existing rock jetty or stop by Frenier Landing and Oyster Bar, a popular local dining spot in the immediate vicinity.

Also know as the Hope Canal, the Garyville Canal launch is located about a mile down a gravel road. Parking is free and the area is known to be rural, with little traffic.
