Contract awarded for Site Preparation for the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain Levee Project

As originally reported in the L'Observateur, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, recently awarded a contract for site preparation of the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain Hurricane and Storm Damage Risk Reduction project. The site preparation work is estimated to be completed by the end of the year.

“This contract is a another significant step forward in beginning levee construction,” said Parish President Hotard.
