Elevated Water Tower and Storage Tank Rehabilitation Project Underway

Parish President Hotard is pleased to announce a $2.8 million Elevated Water Tower and Storage Tank Rehabilitation project is underway.
This project will rehabilitate 8 existing water tanks Parishwide to ensure continued clean storage for drinking water in St. John Parish. Recently, the Lions Ground Storage Tank A was completed (pictured).

 

Additional tanks being coated/rehabilitated:
Garyville Elevated Water Tower
• Lucy Elevated Water Tower
• Walnut Elevated Water Tower
• Belle Terre Elevated Water Tower
• Courthouse Elevated Water Tower
• Lions Ground Storage Tank South
• Ruddock Station 1 Ground Storage Tank

 

Additional Utilities improvements include the rehabilitation of the Central Avenue Lift Station which will remove or repair/replace the pumps and motors, piping, and electrical, to ensure more reliable wastewater services and the replacement of the existing electrical at the Lions Water Treatment Plant. The new electrical equipment at the Lions Water Treatment Plant allows for expansion and future improvements.
