ROAD CLOSURE NOTICE – LA 44 near Palm Street

A full road closure is scheduled on LA 44 near the Palm Street intersection (approximately 0.2 miles west of Main Street) beginning Monday, July 21 through Wednesday, July 23, 2025, weather permitting. The closure is necessary to complete a cross drain replacement project. LA 44 will be closed in both directions during this time. Detour routes will be clearly marked with traffic control signage in place. Eastbound traffic will be detoured via LA 636-3 (W. 2nd Street) to LA 628 (E. 5th Street) before reconnecting with LA 44. Westbound traffic will follow the reverse detour using LA 628 and LA 636-3. Thru traffic will not be permitted in the construction area. Please plan accordingly and expect delays.
