St. John the Baptist Parish continues to play a leading role in Louisiana’s industrial landscape, and Parish President Jaclyn Hotard reinforced that leadership as a featured panelist at the Louisiana Chemical Association (LCA) and Louisiana Chemical Industry Alliance (LCIA) Annual Meeting.
Hotard joined Parish Presidents and community leaders from across the state for a high-profile discussion on strengthening government–industry partnerships, expanding the workforce pipeline, and driving sustainable growth in Louisiana’s chemical sector.

LCA represents 70 major petrochemical companies operating more than 100 facilities statewide. LCIA connects those facilities with nearly 500 supporting businesses that power daily operations and fuel economic momentum.

“It was an honor to join fellow leaders to discuss the opportunities and challenges shaping our communities,” said Parish President Jaclyn Hotard. “LCA and LCIA are essential partners in driving growth and job creation. Together, we can ensure safe operations, expand opportunities for our residents, and build a stronger future for Louisiana.”
