Parish President Jaclyn Hotard joined Council Members, staff, and local, state, and federal leaders in welcoming hundreds of veterans and their families to the 20th Annual Veterans Luncheon, held at REGALA Gym in Reserve.
The event served as a moment of unity and gratitude for those who have served our country in uniform. Veterans were honored with a heartfelt video tribute, a moving trumpet solo by Joshua Knight Jr., and a powerful keynote address from Major General Andree G. Carter, Commanding General of the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne).
“You have answered that call, my fellow veterans, and your families have answered that call… Let us build an America that honors our Veterans and one where no Veteran has ever felt forgotten,” Major General Carter said.
Each veteran received a commemorative pin representing their branch of service.
“We don’t just gather to say thank you. We come together to stand beside those who have sacrificed for all of us,” said Parish President Jaclyn Hotard. “Their stories, their strength, and their service remind us of their dedication and bravery. I wish everyone a safe, happy, and blessed Fourth of July.”
