Adjudicated Properties Program

Overview

Properties become adjudicated to the Parish when property taxes are not paid and the Sheriff is unable to sell them at the annual tax sale. To return these properties to productive use, the St. John the Baptist Parish District Attorney's Office has partnered with CivicSource to manage the public auction process.

The goal of this program is to help recover delinquent taxes and get properties back on the tax rolls. Only properties with five (5) or more years since the original tax sale attempt are eligible for listing.
