Parish President Hotard Announces Phase 2 of Canal Cleaning Underway

The $1.4 million Phase 2 Canal Cleaning Project, funded by a grant through the National Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), will clear and snag fallen trees and debris from 16 canals Parishwide including:

Belle Terre Canal

Bourgeois Canal

Dutch Bayou Canal

Godchaux canal

Goshen Canal

Guillot Canal

I-10 E-W Canal

Laplace Plantation Canal

Levee Canal

Live Oak Landing Canal

McReine Canal

Moll Canal

Ridgefield North Canal

Sugar Mill Canal

Teboe Canal

The project is scheduled to be complete by April, weather permitting. ###
