10.1.21 Debris Collection Update

Debris Collection Update

Only 24 days have passed since debris collection began in St. John Parish and to date, over 400,000 cubic yards of debris has been collected throughout the Parish.

The days immediately following Hurricane Ida were spent clearing trees and other debris from roadways. This number represents 80 percent of all of the debris to be collected and debris crews will continue to work until it is all collected.

Please be assured that if a resident is currently gutting their home, debris crews are making multiple passes and debris monitors continuously going through neighborhoods to determine where pockets of debris remain.
